Air Conditioning Filtration Facts

Why is it so important to use high efficiency filtration for your air conditioning?

The filtration system is one of the most important parts of running an air conditioning system properly. As we come to your home for the routine maintenances, we stride to make sure your filters are well fitted and you are using the correct filter for your home.

See why it is so important to have the right filtration in place.

#1 The filtration keeps your air fresh and clean

#2 Air Conditioning Filters block allergens, germs, bacteria and dust from entering your home

#3 Filters have a direct impact to help your system run smoother

#4 HVAC Filters cut back on energy costs and service issues

Indoor air quality is extremely important to us as it should be to you. Many of us do not realize what is floating around in the air of our homes. The air in your home is more likely to have more airborne particles than stepping out your front door. These would include, but not limited too: cigarette smoke, pet dander and hair, bacteria and dust particles and even grease and smoke from cooking in your kitchen.

You may ask which filtration system is best for your home. There are several types of filters to choose from. You will want to consider your lifestyle, how much money you want to spend for a effective air conditioning filtration system, do you want to clean the filter yourself or have a technician take care of the filters for you. When we come out to your home, we carry a standard filter that is called filter media. While this filter media is perfectly okay, it does not represent the most effective filtration system.

We recommend to purchase pleated filters from a local home improvement store or other retail locations that carry those filters. Pleated filters are 1” thick media and much better at collecting dust, germs and allergens from your air ducts. We recommend that you change these filters every 1-3 months.

We know the indoor air quality of your home is important to you. The air inside your home is 4-5 times more polluted than the air outside. And that means millions of unwanted airborne particles are being inhaled by you and your family. Particles like pollen, dust, bacteria, tobacco smoke, cooking smoke, and animal hair and dander keep your indoor air from being as clean - and healthy - as it could be. Also, if anyone in your family suffers from asthma or allergies, the quality of the air in your home is even more important.
